Saturday, September 2, 2006, Stomp grapes into wine the old fashioned way at the Irvington Stomp, White Fences Vineyard's annual harvest festival and hilarious grape stomping competition pitting friends, family and neighbors against one another for the title of "King and Queen of the Stomp." Admission includes all-you-can-eat steamed Chesapeake Bay hard crabs and pulled pork barbecue, live Carolina beach music by The Holiday Band, tethered hot air balloon rides, a two acre Maize Maze (in the shape of a wine bottle), Old MacDonald's Farm marionette puppet show, hayrides, 4-H farm animal exhibits, pony rides, cold beverages, and much more, including stomping in either the individual or family-sized barrels. Second vintage Meteor Wine from 100% White Fences grapes is available for purchase. Bring family and friends. Eat, drink and be merry as we celebrate the bounty of our 2006 harvest. Rain or shine.
